Level / Age

-           Grade 08 - 1A, 1B 

Time period

-           40 minutes sessions.

Topic

-           Types of Adverbs in daily life.

Aim

-           At the end of the lesson, students will have a better understanding of types of adverbs and will have had practice using the adverbs in simple sentences properly,

Objective

- At the end of the lesson the students will be able to understand

            -  What an Adverb is.

- Different kinds of Adjectives,

- To write and speak properly by using correct rules of adverbs as taught in the classroom

Teaching learn Materials

-           Handouts, Whiteboard, Laptop, projector

Introduction

-           Give a brief introduction about the adverbs and their importance in our day to day lives and teach few types of adverbs in a proper manner.

Procedures

-           At the beginning I will ask few questions before start lesson (2 - 5 minutes

-           Next, I will show a short video clip that to get ideas about the lesson (5 – 10 minutes.

-           Then teach adverb and give a short pair work in the classroom – 10minutes.

-           Later pass handouts to students to improve lesson and teach second topic (5-10 minutes

-           Give a classroom work on the second topic – 10 minutes.

-           Then check their answers and discuss whether they have understood or not (5 minutes.

-           Give five minutes to talk about what they have learned from the lesson  (5 minutes.

-           Finally, give homework to find new adverbs and make five sentences on both topics which they learned in the classroom.
